Mrs. Benson and Mrs. Darnell scheduled Mrs. Cate Schlobohm, and Mr. Ryan Sigler, from the West Virginia University School of Engineering and Mineral Resources to speak to students. The pair did a great job of explaining the design process. Students were taught to ask, imagine, plan, create, and improve. With the engineering cycle being a continuous process of better, cooler, and improved results. The students were then given a set of materials and ask to use the engineering cycle to design and build a coin flipper. The designs were diverse and creative. The students enjoyed the visit.
