Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School 6th grade Team White in conjunction with the Upshur County Solid Waste Authority has started the recycling program back up again. Team White visited the recycling center and Waste Management in Harrison County and learned about recycling and where our garbage goes after we dispose of it. Students had to fill out applications to become a “Recycler”. After the selection process happened, students began collecting and sorting copy paper and lined paper. After the collection and sorting, the paper is placed in our recycling building to be picked up by the City of Buckhannon.
