Students in Mrs Orr’s Family and Consumer Sciences class at BUMS partnered with Mrs McNeish’s Pre-k class with a one of a kind PBL. 20 Pre-k students picked out, learned about, illustrated, and wrote about an animal of their choice to create a class book. Their illustrations were then given to Mrs Orr’s class who took a field trip to the Elkins sewing center to pick out materials to make their creations come to life. When completed, they surprised the Pre-k students with their one of a kind, homemade stuffed animals.
