Harrison County Schools are currently applying for a West Virginia Nita M. Lowery 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) After-school Program Grant. This is a highly competitive federal grant provided through the WVDE, however Harrison County has an exceptional previous success rate for receiving funding.  If funded, this grant will provide an additional five years of enriching after-school programming that directly aligns with standards taught during the regular school day.  Programming focus will be for the middle school level with proposed after-school sites located at Mountaineer Middle School (Harrison County) and Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School (Upshur County).  The 21st CCLC grant program is titled "Project ISAAC" and is currently operating at these schools through a regional partnership facilitated by Harrison County Schools.  In accordance with ESEA Title IV Part B Section 4204(b)(2)(L), we are sharing our intent to apply with our community.  After submission of the application, it will be available for public review upon request. Please contact Millie Michael, mildred.michael@k12.wv.us, with any questions or to request review of the application.  Thank you for your support.
