Students in 8th grade tried their hands culturing bacteria! They tested to determine which method of washing was most effective. They designed experiments which tested hand sanitizer, washing with soap, nothing at all, or rubbing their hands on their clothing. They then pressed their hands into the agar to see how much bacteria they could culture. Results were mixed between hand washing and sanitizer.
