Girls - Practices will start every Tuesday & Saturday starting Tuesday, August 19.
Tuesdays: 7:30 - 9:30 PM
Saturdays: 8:00 - 9:30 AM
Boys - No flex practice tomorrow. On August 22, practices will continue on every Saturday with the new time, 9:30 - 11:30 AM.
Parents it's time to "tag" us back in!!! Welcome to the first day of school! Staff have been busy Buccaneers, working hard to prepare the school to receive your student! We are all very excited! It's going to be a great year! Do remember that today is a 12:45pm Dismissal time.
Graphic to help with parent drop off and pick up. Riding the bus is the recommended way to get to school though. Avoid the traffic and ride the bus. 😊

Si la cartilla de vacunación de su hijo/a está incompleta o falta, no se le permitirá permanecer en la escuela hasta que se le hayan administrado las vacunas requeridas y se haya entregado la documentación correspondiente a la secretaría. Los estudiantes que no cumplan con las pautas de vacunación requeridas serán enviados a casa y solo podrán regresar una vez que se reciba el comprobante de vacunación. Reminder: Boys Basketball will begin weekly flex practices this Saturday, August 2, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM @ B-UMS. 🏀
Please give your sports physical, dated after May 1, 2025, to your coach. You cannot participate without one.

❗️Boys Basketball Flex Practice Announcement❗️🏀🏴☠️Flex practices will begin Saturday, August 2 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at B-UMS. This is for any incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grader. Practices will be held each Saturday morning until further notice. If you have not gotten a sports physical dated after May 1, 2025, you must do so in order to participate. Please turn those in at practice. For any questions, please reach out to Coach Joe Maxwell at 304-439-0650.

B-UMS is in need of a certified applicant for the Head/Assistant Boys Soccer position(s). The posting comes down on July 10! Without a certified applicant, the boys will not be able to start their season on time and will be in jeopardy of not being able to complete this season! Please share! Band Camp is coming! This event is the perfect chance for your middle-school band kiddos to shake off the summer rust, see your band friends, and kick off the 2025–2026 season strong. 💪🏽
We’ll be playing, laughing, and building momentum for an awesome year ahead. 🎶
❗️This event will take place in the middle-school band room from 8:00AM-12:00PM. July 14-July 18th. Please enter through the back band room door.
🎒 Feel free to bring a snack if you think you might get hungry — we’ll take short breaks!

On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted, marking the birth of the United States of America. It was a bold step toward freedom and democracy that continues to inspire generations.
🗽 Fun History Facts:
The Declaration was signed in Philadelphia, and the Liberty Bell became a symbol of American independence.
Only John Hancock and Charles Thomson signed the Declaration on July 4 — most others signed later!
The first organized 4th of July celebration took place in 1777, complete with fireworks, music, and parades.
We hope all our families are enjoying the holiday and taking a moment to reflect on the values that unite us. Have a safe and joyful Independence Day! ❤️💙
